SALLY

Born and bred in the Barossa, our Cellar Door Manager, Sally, can share with you all you need to know about local facilities, restaurants, events and general Barossa news. Her commitment to the local community helps with Whistler’s involvement in and support of local charity groups, schools and sporting clubs.
From corporate lunches to birthday parties, farewells and casual picnics, if you would like to have a function at Whistler Wines, Sally’s the person to know.
Sally’s previous life as a teacher makes her the ‘kid guru’ here at our very family-friendly winery with her latest project being a permanent Treasure Hunt throughout the garden and surrounds. This adds to the kids’ corner and toys in cellar door as well as the playground and sports equipment available for outdoor fun for all ages.
Being our ‘greenie’, Sally organises our recycling programme and is also our animal ‘caretaker’ with hand-reared kangaroos, geese and lots of native birds that add to the Australian experience enjoyed by overseas and local visitors alike.
Usually found in our cellar door, garden or kangaroo enclosure on Sundays through to Wednesdays, Sally loves meeting visitors of all ages. She generally has a cordial tasting or treat for the kids and always a friendly local welcome for everyone.
Sally is always happy to open a Sparkling Merlot for you and even happier to take a break at the end of the day and join you for a glass, often in with her much-loved kangaroos. |
